Hello John, it’s Raphael Warnock. The last time I reached out to Cory Booker’s team, it was on the eve of Georgia’s U.S. Senate runoff election.
Thanks to the support of folks like you on this people-powered team, we defied all the odds, proving the political pundits and naysayers wrong, to win our election. We kept Georgia blue and secured the Senate majority for Democrats.
I’ll never lose sight of what that victory felt like. What it meant. As a kid who grew up in public housing — with 11 brothers and sisters and parents who were short on money but long on love and faith — I could only ever dream of being Georgia’s first Black senator.
So I’m writing just to say thank you. As we close out Black History Month, I want to acknowledge the thousands of folks like you whose support has helped elect Cory Booker and me as two of only a dozen Black senators in our nation’s history.
But I’m also reaching out today because you understand the urgency of this election — defending more than twice as many seats as the Republicans, while just about every election expert calls Democrats’ path to holding the Senate the most difficult it’s ever been.
Well, they said that about Georgia. They said it would be near impossible for us to flip it blue. But we did because people like you never stopped believing and never stopped fighting — chipping in $3 or $10 because you believed change was possible. So today, I’m coming to you again because we’ve got to keep the Senate blue.
I’ve counted on you before, John. Can Cory Booker and I count on you again to protect our Senate majority? Please, split a donation of $3 or whatever you can spare to Cory’s campaign and mine before our February fundraising deadline so that we can keep our Senate majority.
If you've saved your payment information with ActBlue Express, your split donation to Raphael Warnock and Cory Booker will go through immediately:
As somebody who fought and won a battleground race, I know that Cory’s ability to hit the campaign trail in battleground states is essential to rallying our volunteers and boosting Democratic turnout. I appreciate you helping out and donating whatever you can.
