I don’t know about you, but I’m getting pretty tired of the GOP holding up government funding in order to push their own extremist policy proposals. These last couple weeks alone, Republicans have managed to barely avoid shutting down the government, fail to pass immigration reform that they demanded, and effectively ban in vitro fertilization (IVF) via a court ruling in Alabama.
Rather than spending their time figuring out how to fund the government, fix our broken immigration system, or support our allies, Republicans have spent the week re-affirming their support for IVF, while also signing on to bills that would ban it.
It’s never been more important to invest in Democratic party-building, because it’s time to elect Democrats in November who will get things done.
We’re just $1,000 away from hitting our February End of Month fundraising goal – and everything we raise goes toward our recruitment, training, and support of candidates up and down the ballot – so we can elect Democrats to run our government, and not continue to be in limbo.
