CRISIS UPDATE: Civilians Waiting for Aid Killed in Gaza ==========================================

We were about to send you February's newsletter (below) highlighting the hunger crisis in Gaza when we heard the latest horrific news. Today, Palestinians in Gaza City were waiting for desperately-needed food aid when gunfire rang out causing panic. In the resulting chaos, over 100 Palestinians were killed and at least 700 civilians were injured. The only solution to end this mass suffering is an immediate and permanent ceasefire and return of all hostages.

Project HOPE is doing everything we can to help civilians in Gaza. Our team has already treated over 6,000 patients and provided primary health care to over 3,000 people in Rafah. Just today, Project HOPE was able to deliver more than nine tons of medical relief. Please help us continue to provide care and support for people in Gaza and communities enduring health crises around the world. We cannot lose sight of our humanity.

Gaza on Brink of Catastrophic Hunger Crisis

Over the last three weeks, 21% of pregnant women at Project HOPE's primary health clinic in Deir al Balah were malnourished. People have reported eating nothing but white bread as fruit, vegetables, and other nutrient-dense foods are nearly impossible to find or too expensive.
