Some of you may have received these mailers from a Super PAC operating out of Nevada. To date this group has spent hundreds of thousands of dollars trying to cast aspersions on my character, and now claiming that I'm not a true conservative. The same group has also spent hundreds of thousands of dollars promoting Craig Goldman.
It has been said that the best propaganda is that which includes a little bit of truth. The mailer you are receiving claims that I don't consider myself a conservative. Here's the whole truth. As I have been speaking to voters throughout the district over the past 11 months since entering the race, I have stated the following:
"I used to call myself a conservative, but frankly there's nothing left to conserve. They shut down our businesses, they called us unessential. They shuttered our churches and places of worship when we were actually in a spiritual crisis and time of need. They locked our kids out of churches, they're censoring us. The only right they haven't infringed upon, but they're definitely coming for right now is the second amendment. And right now, I say I'm not a conservative, I'm a restorer and I want to see us get back to our Constitutional roots.
