Did you know it’s harder to vote in Texas than any other state in the U.S.? That’s because decades of GOP control have led to the harshest, strictest voting laws anywhere.

Vote-By-Mail is excuse-only, impossibly confusing, and has a high rejection rate. Texas Democrats fund a Vote-By-Mail program that increases usability and acceptance rates.

Texas GOP created the most difficult voter registration system in the country. We operate a 24/7 Voter Assistance Hotline, website and social media campaign to guide voters through the maze of voter registration.

Texas GOP made it a felony for voters or election workers to make honest mistakes. The Texas Democratic Party is equipped with world-class legal advocates to support our volunteers, workers, and voters.

GOP leaders spread rampant election disinformation, eroding trust in the voting system. We fight disinformation through voter education, community outreach, and direct advocacy with media and county admin.

The GOP makes demands on polling locations without providing funding, straining voting systems, particularly in Black & Brown Texas communities. Texas Democrats provide training, administration, and voter protection services to support under-resourced counties.

Texas GOP spun a web of Voter ID laws designed to exclude historically disenfranchised voters. Our Poll Watcher Program and voter education resources help voters make it to the polls with the necessary ID(s).

AG Ken Paxton, who runs our elections, undermines faith in our democracy by pushing the Big Lie. Texas Democrats recruit and uplift pro-democracy candidates who Texans can believe and believe in.

Our Voter Protection programs are all that stand in between voters and a GOP that wants nothing more than for them to stay home.
