One of Justice Democrats’ first endorsements and rising progressive star Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez has officially kicked off her re-election campaign for Congress — and she’s counting on this people-powered movement to come through once again.

AOC remains one of the most progressive, influential members of Congress since she first took on the establishment in 2018 and defeated an out-of-touch, 10-term incumbent in a major upset.

Many claimed her victory was a fluke, but after a moderate spent $3 million to challenge her in the Democratic primary and the GOP spent over $10 million against her in 2020, she won again and again.

Now, AOC has at least one MAGA Republican opponent in the upcoming November election. And unlike most members of Congress, Alexandria doesn’t attend fancy cocktail party fundraisers or take contributions from corporate interests: she relies on small-dollar donations from grassroots supporters like you, just like we do!

Alexandria campaigned on expanding Medicare in order to make prescriptions more affordable. Now, Medicare has the power to negotiate prescription drugs, and insulin is capped at $35/month. She believes in tackling the climate crisis head-on, even when members of her own party have called her ‘extreme’ for authoring the Green New Deal.

AOC continues to fiercely speak out against the millionaires and billionaires putting profits before people, right-wing lobby groups like AIPAC who are constantly attacking her and the rest of the Squad for standing on the right side of history, and crooked politicians on both sides of the aisle who are more concerned with maintaining the status quo than making life better for their constituents.
