John – This is getting ridiculous.

Republicans in Congress pushed us to the brink of another government shutdown that would have gone into effect on Saturday. But surprise! They reached a deal – just not the one we expected.

Instead of passing a spending bill, House Republicans kicked the can down the road for the FIFTH time!

They had until tomorrow to pass a partial spending bill and March 8th to pass a full one. Yesterday’s continuing resolution pushed those deadlines back and bought them one more week.

If all Republicans needed was a week, then why did House Speaker Mike Johnson give the House a two-week vacation? He could have protected federal employees and vulnerable Americans who rely on the government for basic needs like food and healthcare.

House Republicans refuse to do the job they were elected for, and even their own party members are sick of it. Many of them are retiring. Unfortunately, my opponent Mike Simpson isn’t.

We are just $1,803 away from hitting our February fundraising goal and staying on track to win this election in November.

While I’ve been working night and day to give Idaho voters real representation in Congress, Mike Simpson has allowed this dysfunction to continue while completely ignoring the needs of our district and the Americans he’s supposed to protect.

This has been my campaign’s best fundraising month, and every dollar helps us execute our plan to FLIP ID-02 and kick Mike Simpson out of Congress. But I need one final push this month to make it happen.
