I am new to politics, and have spent a fulfilling career as General Counsel and Senior VP for Development with Drury Hotels. But from what I can see, we have too many ladder-climbing politicians running Jefferson City who haven’t learned how to build consensus, form relationships, and negotiate with others in good faith—qualities essential to success in business and in life.
As I signed the papers to file, I thought of all the people in my district and throughout Missouri who feel like we have no path out of the mess we’re in. I thought of every Missourian who feels like they are constantly under attack by the very people who should be working to make life better here. And I thought of all the good that we could be doing instead of the harmful chaos and dysfunction—the good that we will do when we flip this seat.
It is for them, and for all of us, that I am so proud and excited to put myself forward as a candidate for State Senate District 15.
There is hope; we can, and we will, do better, together.
I have been absolutely floored by the outpouring of support and solidarity we’ve gotten since I announced last summer. I know that we will win if we keep up the momentum, stay focused on the issues, and stand up for what is right.
If you can chip in $15 or more to commemorate our fight to flip SD-15, I would be so grateful to have you with us: |
