I wanted to reach out and share a deeply personal perspective on my commitment to securing our democracy—a mission that's more than just a campaign slogan; it's a lifelong dedication.
I spent 25 years serving in the U.S. Army, witnessing firsthand that our democracy was hard-earned and fiercely defended by heroes in and out of uniform. From military service members sacrificing their lives to the medical team caring for victims of the 9/11 Pentagon attack, the price paid to preserve our democratic values is immeasurable.
These sacrifices are what fuel my determination to stand against the disgraceful attempts by Donald Trump and his enablers to overturn elections and dismantle our rights. I refuse to let their actions tarnish the legacy of those who gave so much.
Now, I'm running for Congress in Maryland’s most vulnerable tossup district because this moment in history demands leaders who will rise to the challenges we face. Together, we can ensure that the sacrifices of our heroes were not in vain.
