John,
Across the country, we're seeing shelves in pharmacies and grocery stores empty for days and weeks on end. While part of the shortage comes from fear and stocking up on supplies, there are bad actors at play that have chosen to purchase all of the Purell, toilet paper, masks, and surgical gloves for their own gain.
Now, you'll find these products in online markets with sky-high prices, sometimes triple their retail price. This is not how the supply chain should work, and this has put medical professionals and public health at an unprecedented risk. Even worse, these bad actors are not being held accountable for their actions.
Protecting consumers is a primary role for state Attorneys General. As a nurse, I know how crucial these supplies are to the health care professionals putting their lives at risk for all of us. As a prosecutor, I've worked tirelessly to protect Montanans. And as your next Attorney General, I will fight to defend Montana's consumers from price gouging, especially through a national emergency.
We need leadership on the state level to ensure everyone is protected during this crisis. I'm the only candidate in this race who has the background to help in this public health emergency. I'm ready to lead for Montana and fight against price gouging. But in order to do that, I still need to raise $1,105 before the end of March to stay ahead in this race. Can you chip in $3 today?

If I was Attorney General, I would make stopping this violation of consumer rights a priority. I would not hesitate to hold these bad actors accountable and ensure that these life-saving supplies can get in the hands of those who desperately need them.
In times of an emergency of this magnitude, every branch of government and every elected office must do their part. And the Attorney General's office is no different. It's time that we held these bad actors accountable for taking advantage of this public health crisis for their personal gain.
Chip in now so I can hold price gouging villains accountable as Montana's next Attorney General.
Fighting for you,
Kimberly
