Team,
I have some important news to share about this race.
Yesterday, the New York State Legislature approved a new Congressional district map, and Governor Hochul signed it into law.
This is a major development for our campaign. I will explain more about what that means below, but I know many of you have followed along during every twist and turn of this process. If that’s you, I’ll cut to the chase:
We need resources now more than ever to hold this seat and to help deliver the House majority. Will you contribute to my re-election campaign before tonight's end-of-month deadline?

Here’s what you need to know:
- While this might feel like a bad case of deja vu, we’ve been through this before. In 2022, we entered a special election in NY-19. Because of the redistricting dynamics then, we had to run a general election in NY-18 concurrently. We faced two tough opponents in three months, and we prevailed. We are going to keep doing what we’ve always done: make the stakes of this election clear, put freedom first, and fight like it’s all on the line — because it is.
- The map that became law yesterday is not the same map originally released by New York’s Independent Redistricting Commission earlier this month, which had more of Ulster County, where I served as County Executive. In the final version, our Democratic advantage improved by just 0.4%.
- In 2022, I won by only a few thousand votes. The maps signed into law yesterday will not make our race in 2024 an easier one. More directly, this seat will still be the toughest one to defend across the state.
Team, winning this race won’t be possible without your support. Please rush in an urgent donation of $10 or more to help me show that we’re ready and determined to overcome this challenge and defeat MAGA extremism this November.

It means a lot to know that this team has my back. I hope you know by now I’ll always have yours. Thank you for stepping up at this crucial moment for our campaign.
Yours in service,
