Hi John, Team Emily Busch here, and we wanted to make sure you heard:

Earlier this week, a ruling by the Alabama Supreme Court put the future of IVF in danger. 

This effort joins a laundry list of initiatives led by Republicans to attack a person's right to reproductive care – abortion, contraception, and more. 

 

Now more than ever, we need elected officials in Congress who understand that family planning decisions should be in the hands of the people, not politicians. Unfortunately, MI-10's own John James doesn't measure up. 

 

FIRST: He said it himself – he is "100% pro life. Always have been, always will be."

 

NEXT: He voted against the Women's Protection Act, which would codify Roe v Wade into law. 

 

THEN: He voted to pass anti-choice legislation that was chock-full of misinformation and had the potential to imprison doctors for just doing their jobs. 

 

John, Emily Busch is the pro-choice Democrat running to unseat John James and be a strong voice for the issues that matter to our community.

Emily Busch

Emily first learned the importance of community and helping others from her mom, a nurse, and dad, a manufacturing representative, while growing up in a tight-knit, middle-class Midwestern family.

The proud product of public schools, Emily worked hard in and out of the classroom, balancing her studies and interest in performing arts with an after-school job as a cashier at Ace Hardware. She went on to earn her B.A. in Biology from Indiana University and Masters from Michigan State University.

Now, Emily is running for Congress in Michigan’s 10th District to keep our kids safe, protect our rights, and lower costs for Michigan families.

Emily chose to move to Oakland County two decades ago because it was the place she wanted to raise her family – a place with friendly neighbors, good schools, and safe neighborhoods.

She and her husband, a retired firefighter and Marine, enjoy camping, fishing, and visiting national parks in their free time.
