<[link removed]> ConservAmerica canine Lizzie hunts pheasant in Tulare, South Dakota. In the words of the great Phil Connors <[link removed]> , “well, it's Groundhog Day... again...” Yet another threat of government shutdown looms though Speaker of the House Mike Johnson (R- LA) seems confident <[link removed]> it can be avoided through another Continuing Resolution. In a surprise to no one, President Biden and Speaker Johnson find themselves on opposing sides of various <[link removed]> issues holding up an agreement. They also find themselves on the opposite ends of the Administration’s pause on LNG exports <[link removed]> , an issue we at ConservAmerica feel strongly about. Earlier this month, our President, Jeff Kupfer, was a guest on the Energy Show podcast <[link removed]> to talk about the LNG export ban, as a follow-up to his Wall Street Journal <[link removed]> OpEd <[link removed]> . Our Senior Policy Advisor Quill Robinson also laid out arguments for why the ban harms America’s long-term economic and geopolitical interests in his piece <[link removed]> for the City Journal <[link removed]> . Additionally, Quill chimed in for an article on an emerging Republican climate strategy, which you can read here <[link removed]> . LNG exports and American energy were one of many topics we touched on when we sat down <[link removed]> with Roosevelt Conservation Caucus Co-Chair Congressman Buddy Carter (R-GA) a few weeks ago. As the new Chair of the Environment, Manufacturing, and Critical Minerals Subcommittee, Congressman Carter also covered the need for an all-of-the-above energy strategy, the Land and Water Conservation Fund, and the Endangered Species Act. It was a great conversation, which you can watch here <[link removed]> . And speaking of excellent conversations, did you tune in for our February webinar <[link removed]> ? Expert panelists Adam J. White <[link removed]> and Lisa Heinzerling <[link removed]> joined ConservAmerica Counsel Brent Fewell <[link removed]> for a lively discussion on the Chevron Doctrine. If you missed it the first time around, you’re going to want to watch the replay <[link removed]> . That’s it from us this month. Today is our 2024 bonus day, so use it to get outside and enjoy the great outdoors (and as always, remember to tag us in your pics!).
