As a vice-chair of the Congressional Progressive Caucus and a chief deputy whip, he tirelessly fought for the rights of all Americans. 




But Ellison's impact extends far beyond his congressional career. In a landmark moment, he made history as the first Muslim elected to Congress and the first African American representative from Minnesota. His groundbreaking achievements shattered barriers and inspired countless individuals across the nation.




More recently, Ellison played a pivotal role in seeking justice for George Floyd, serving as the Special Prosecutor in the Derek Chauvin trial. His leadership and dedication during this critical time garnered national attention and underscored the urgent need for systemic change within our justice system.
