Dear John, This month, the Texas Attorney General took an outrageous action and demanded that PFLAG National turn over information about our support of families in Texas seeking gender-affirming medical care for their transgender youth. This is a blatant abuse of the office’s authority and with your help and support, we’re fighting back! In 2022, the Texas governor targeted trans kids and their families by attempting to investigate parents for baseless accusations of child abuse. Then, Texas legislators enacted SB14 to ban all medically necessary, gender-affirming care for transgender youth. PFLAG National sued to stop these immoral and harmful actions, and now the Attorney General is taking his campaign even further. Let me assure you: We are not backing down, and we will never stop fighting for LGBTQ+ people and those who love them. But we need you to help make sure that PFLAG’s vital resources remain in the communities that need us most. |
