When the Supreme Court overturned Roe v Wade two years ago, they ushered in a new era of abortion restrictions across the nation. The radical right has been waging an all-out assault on reproductive rights for decades, and thanks to right-wing, unelected judges, they finally got their wish with this disastrous ruling.

Subsequently, we’ve seen states across the country enact draconian laws to prevent women from accessing reproductive care. Here in Oregon, we’re proud to lead the way when it comes to protecting a woman’s right to choose – but our current representative supports a 6 week federal abortion ban. That's before most women even know they’re pregnant! It is easy to feel like we’re safe from this issue in Oregon, but if Republicans continue to hold the American people hostage over their fringe ideology, no one is safe anywhere in the nation. The road to preserving democracy runs right through Oregon’s 5th Congressional District.
