Hi! I wanted to tell you about a candidate who has really inspired me, and I hope you’ll join me in supporting her campaign: Emily Randall, a current State Senator who is running for the open seat in Washington’s 6th Congressional District.
Emily grew up in a working-class union household in Port Orchard. In the State Senate, she’s worked with folks from across the political spectrum to get things done — protecting reproductive freedom, lowering healthcare costs and bridge tolls, and keeping our neighborhoods safe. After one term, she was elected Deputy Majority Leader by her colleagues.
If she wins, she’ll be the first LGBTQ+ representative from Washington and one of the first LGBTQ+ Latina members of Congress ever. And right now, half of Congress are millionaires — we need someone like Emily who understands regular people!
It’s very important that we keep the 6th District blue so Democrats can take back the House. Emily has won TWO incredibly tough elections against well-funded Republicans. She is battle-tested and the best candidate to hold this seat no matter what they throw at her.
