Team, our February fundraising deadline is right around
the corner, and I want to emphasize why your support is so important at this
moment:
In the past few weeks, we have seen an alarming surge of anti-immigrant
sentiment and policies. While the latest bill ultimately failed in Congress, we
can’t overlook the fact that certain elected officials, whom we typically rely
on to defend our asylum system, endorsed some of the most anti-immigrant legislation we’ve seen in decades.
This is unacceptable backsliding. It is critical that we reclaim the narrative and remind Congress that our laws
and policies should prioritize people over politics . The truth is that there are popular and commonsense solutions that would
improve our immigration system and benefit all communities, including:
* Passing a pathway to citizenship for DACA recipients, TPS holders, essential
workers, and other immigrants who contribute so much to the U.S.
* Providing support for the cities and organizations that are welcoming asylum
seekers with dignity
* Creating more legal channels for people and families to come to the U.S. with
visas
This is what the majority of the American public wants to see from Congress —
real solutions-based action. We refuse to stand idly by as our lawmakers ignore
the promises they’ve made and the people they serve.
Please, that's why we urge you to add a donation before
our deadline tomorrow night. By contributing, you'll help strengthen our work
and impact on Capitol Hill to ensure that we do not lose any more ground in our
fight for justice.

not on our communities. With your generous support, we can continue fighting on
behalf of all immigrants who are a part of the fabric of this nation.
Thank you,
Raha Wala
