Future Coalition is the leading organization behind progressive youth activism. Our intergenerational team is providing young people with the tools, resources, and support to power their ideas and amplify their impact around the nation.

Our team at Future Coalition is well on our way for another powerful year!

 

We’re committed to empowering young changemakers and youth-led groups to create community, develop as leaders, and elect progressives to local office. We set big goals for ourselves in the past, and thanks to the work by young activists, we exceeded those goals.

 

In 2024 and beyond, here are our next step to keep up the momentum of our youth-powered movement:  

 

First and foremost, we believe in empowering our young leaders and activists to expand their work in areas that are typically underfunded. By partnering with Future Coalition, young activists and youth-centered groups can expand their reach equitably for years to come. In 2022, we partnered with 25 youth-led organizations to provide funding, resources, mentorship, and guidance to their incredible teams. This year, we plan to reach even more organizations with our Future Incubator and our new Take it Back Network.

Creating lasting impact means developing intergenerational relationships and collaboration across communities. By building a long term network structure for organizations to take part in, we aim to facilitate an environment for groups to build connections, share resources, and inspire growth through shared goals. 

 

We also want to provide opportunities for young leaders to take their next steps – including training, mentorship and knowledge sharing to enhance the skills of young activists and community leaders. This year, our Civic Program will train young leaders on how to run for political office, become political staffers, and other campaign-related work, in addition to supporting local candidates and campaigns in must-win races.

At the forefront of every new project we take on is our overarching goal to amplify the work and stories of young changemakers and organizations across our network. We’ll be sharing stories and ways to get involved with youth-powered organizing work across social media this year, so click below to follow along!
