Dear John,

Did you know that some traditional Chinese medicines contain the body parts of tigers, leopards, pangolins, and rhinos?

While the Chinese Government banned the consumption of most terrestrial wild animals as food following the spread of coronavirus, the ban does not cover the use of wildlife products in traditional Chinese medicine.

Traditional medicines containing threatened wildlife parts such as pangolin scales, leopard bones, saiga antelope horn and the bile of captive-bred bears are still legal in China.

Many people in China, including our allies in the traditional Chinese medicine world, are horrified that endangered species are still being exploited to supply this industry. And yet the practice continues.

Will you make a gift of £20 to help us protect endangered species? ([link removed])

Your support will help us to protect the 4,000 tigers that remain in the wild, expose criminal trafficking of wildlife into China and campaign to remove endangered wildlife from traditional Chinese medicine.

Big cats and other species are perilously close to extinction. Please help us stop this cruel and unnecessary trade.
