I apologize for the long email, John, but I’d appreciate it if you would give me just a few minutes of your Wednesday to explain why I need to ask for $15 before the month comes to a close tomorrow.
Right now, we’re at a pivotal point in our campaign.
We are less than a week away from North Carolina’s primary election. In just a matter of days, the general election will be underway. National GOP groups will likely rush big money into North Carolina to try to elect my radical Republican opponent.
The race will be close. Just last week, we saw a new poll showing my opponent leading by just one point. Our race will be won or lost on just the smallest margin of votes — no matter how fringe my opponent’s views are.
That’s why the outcome of November’s election will come down in part to resources. We need to hit the airwaves with ads, build an aggressive ground game to reach out to voters directly, and travel the state to grow our campaign.
I am counting on this grassroots team to be the difference-maker. That’s why my team and I set an ambitious $150,000 online goal for the end of February. But right now, we are falling short.
Please, I am only asking for your help because it’s deeply important for the future of our state. Click here to donate $15 or any amount that is right for you before tomorrow’s midnight deadline.
Thank you,
Josh
