John —
I wanted to make sure you saw this urgent note from David, below. We are almost at the end of the month, and we are still falling short of our fundraising goal.
Even for those who have already endured so much, this winter in Ukraine has brought new hardships. Missile strikes have damaged critical infrastructure, and damage to the power grid has left many in Ukraine without electricity. Without electricity, there is no light, no water, and many homes also don't have heat.
Some mothers don't even have enough warm blankets to wrap their children in — and we are in the coldest part of winter.
Please, help us reach our goal before time runs out. Make your gift now to help children and families in Ukraine and beyond survive this winter.

John —
Two years after the start of war in Ukraine, I am inspired by the continuing courage and resilience of people who have been displaced by conflict, and those who remain in danger.
And I am heartened to know how many people — including you — remain committed to helping Ukrainian children and families survive, recover, and rebuild.
With daily shelling, frigid winter temperatures, and millions of people displaced, we are calling on IRC supporters like you to renew your commitment to children and families in Ukraine, neighboring countries, and people in crisis zones around the world.
We've set a $100,000 fundraising goal for this month, to help respond to the immense needs — please make your gift now to help rush emergency supplies and other support where they are needed most this winter.
Even for those who have already endured so much, this winter in Ukraine has brought new hardships. Missile strikes target critical infrastructure, and damage to the power grid has left many in Ukraine without electricity. There is no light. No water. No heat. Some mothers don't even have enough warm blankets to wrap their children in — and we are in the coldest part of winter.
The IRC is helping by distributing blankets, heaters, winter clothing, repairing materials for homes and other emergency supplies. Children receive school supplies, along with toys, coloring books, and drawing materials. Direct cash assistance will help people in Ukraine pay for essential needs like rent, health care, and heating fuel.
The only way this critical humanitarian assistance can continue is with strong support from people like you, John. Please, make your emergency winter gift now and help reach our $100,000 goal.
The global response to the start of the conflict in Ukraine two years ago helped save countless lives. And now, the IRC is committed to doing our part for as long as it takes. Within Ukraine, that includes providing emergency supplies, running mobile health clinics, and supporting healing and learning spaces. Job training, education, legal support and direct assistance are helping those who have fled Ukraine resettle permanently.
I hope you will help show that the world remains committed to supporting people affected by war in Ukraine and around the world. Your generosity will make a difference.
My sincerest thanks,
— David
