The Defending Borders, Defending Democracies Act is our best chance to secure our border and support our allies in 2024. We’re asking you to call House Speaker Mike Johnson and urge him to bring the bill to the floor for a vote.

Hi John,

Right now, the single most important thing the No Labels movement can do is to help pass a bipartisan bill to secure our border and get vital aid to our allies overseas.

There’s a consensus on both sides of the aisle this needs to get done. No responsible leader should want our border wide open or our allies in Ukraine, Israel, and the Indo Pacific left unprotected. But election year politics are standing in the way of action that the vast majority of our elected officials know is essential.

Fortunately, a brave group of Problem Solvers in the House, led by Reps. Brian Fitzpatrick and Jared Golden, are taking on the political obstructionists and pushing for an expedited vote on their bipartisan Defending Borders, Defending Democracies Act.

And their efforts got an important morale boost with today’s return to Congress of long-time House Problem Solver Tom Suozzi ([link removed] ) , who will be an important ally in these kinds of bipartisan efforts.

Tomorrow, February 29, at 8:00 PM ET, No Labels will be holding a special call via Zoom with Reps. Ed Case and Mike Lawler, who are two of our Problem Solver cosponsors of this bipartisan effort. RSVP now ([link removed] ) to get the latest updates on their work to push for the Defending Borders, Defending Democracies Act.

But the ultimate decision rests with House Speaker Mike Johnson and House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries. It’s why we’re asking you to call Speaker Johnson’s and Minority Leader Jeffries’ offices and urge them to bring this crucial legislation to the floor for a vote.

Call Speaker Johnson’s office at 202-225-2777 and Minority Leader Jeffries’ office at 202-225-5936 and urge them to hold a vote on the Defending Borders, Defending Democracies Act.

Thanks for your help in giving voice to our movement of commonsense Americans demanding action on securing the border and safeguarding our national security.

Liz Morrison,
