I sent my 5th letter to the President, co-signed by House GOP Conference Chair Elise Stefanik, Chief Deputy Whip Guy Reschenthaler, RSC Chairman Kevin Hern, and 80 additional Members of Congress demanding Biden take a cognitive exam. Biden’s apparent cognitive decline is a national security issue, and he owes it to the American people to prove he is mentally capable of serving as Commander in Chief! If he refuses to take the test, we are calling on his Cabinet to begin the process for invocation of the 25th Amendment. More below! |

The UN's hypocrisy is clear. The globalist organization preaches peace while actively engaging in the recruitment, funding, and indoctrination of terrorists and simultaneously spreading antisemitism. My legislation seeks to prohibit American taxpayer funding from going to the United Nations Relief and Works Agency (UNRWA). The legislation also seeks to hold UNRWA responsible for past funding and its role in the appalling attacks on October 7. It's time to confront and dismantle this corrupt organization! |
America has never looked weaker than we do under President Biden. The disastrous Afghanistan withdrawal was one of the largest national-security blunders in the history of our country. While Americans watched in disarray at the withdrawal, China and Russia immediately saw a power vacuum to expand their own geopolitical influence in the region. My legislation would require information be provided to Congress about the Taliban's nefarious relationship with Russia and the Chinese Communist Party. With Iran actively stoking the flames of war in the Middle East, it is important that we stay aware of the malign actions being taken by rogue leaders like Vladimir Putin and Xi Jinping. I was proud to introduce this legislation with the support of Chairman Michael McCaul to protect our national security interests and keep Americans safe from our enemies!

As a staunch advocate for securing our border and an unwavering defender of the rule of law, I proudly cast my vote to impeach Secretary of Homeland Security Alejandro Mayorkas. His willful refusal to comply with federal immigration laws and his breach of public trust are egregious offenses that cannot be ignored. The Biden administration's utter failure to address the crisis at our southern border has facilitated an invasion the likes of which our country has never seen before, with more than 10 million illegal immigrants infiltrating our sovereignty and crippling our national security since Biden took office. Mayorkas' incompetence and dereliction of duty demand accountability, and I stand with my colleagues in holding him responsible by impeaching him for this debacle. It is critically important that the United States Senate now engage in its Constitutional duty by holding a proper trial!

In a recent hearing with the House Select Subcommittee on the Coronavirus Pandemic, we unveiled the Biden administration's refusal to cooperate with Congress. The U.S. Department of Health and Human Services has continuously withheld documents our subcommittee has requested and displayed a blatant disregard for our oversight role. If their stonewalling persists, significant consequences for the agency must take place!

In Congress, I stay heavily involved and up to date on all things Army aviation, especially as it relates to Bell Helicopter’s work in Amarillo. Earlier this month, the Army decided to cancel the Future Attack Reconnaissance Aircraft (FARA) program, which I am disappointed in. I am also disappointed in the lack of transparency provided about this decision, especially when I had the Army brief me on this matter in December where they made no mention of this being a possibility, even when asked. Bell invested heavily in the FARA program and has a ready-to-test prototype that could meet the Army’s requirements. However, a key takeaway from the announcement was the Army’s emphatic and enduring commitment to the Future Long Range Assault Aircraft and the Bell V-280. My priority moving forward will be to ensure that the V-280 stays on track and that we get that aircraft to the first operational unit as soon as possible. As a member of the House Armed Services Committee and the representative for so many Bell employees in my district, I will continue to stay in contact with Bell and the Army on all things Army aviation so that we can work to meet the military’s future vertical lift needs by utilizing the talented workforce in Amarillo.
