Dear Friend,
Ohio's energy policy remains hindered by corruption and
scandal. The House Bill 6 debacle continues to cast a shadow over our
state's energy landscape.
Sam Randazzo, the former Public Utilities Commission
of Ohio chairman indicted for corruption by federal and Ohio
prosecutors, spent much of his career fighting renewable energy
projects. His fingerprints are all over OVEC coal subsidies we continue
to pay every month on our electric bills, the demise of the Icebreaker Wind project on
Lake Erie and now the Frasier Solar Project in Knox County.
One of his longtime collaborators was Kevon
Martis, the roving anti-renewable energy activist who
appeared this Saturday at an anti-solar rally in Mount Vernon.
With the indictments of former FirstEnergy CEO Chuck
Jones and former Senior Vice President of External Affairs Michael
Dowling and former PUCO chair Sam
Randazzo we're finally taking critical
steps toward justice for all Ohioans.
"Bribery Bunch 2.0" video
released
In light of these developments, we have updated our "Bribery Bunch" video to include
the recent indictments of FirstEnergy executives involved in the House
Bill 6 scandal.
Please take a moment to watch it and
share it far and wide - it's crucial to shine a light on these corrupt
practices and hold those responsible accountable for their
actions.
The good news is that the Public Utilities
Commission has officially ended the stay on its
investigation of House Bill 6 and its multiple problems.
Will the end of the stay wake up this sleepy watchdog?
Please fight
back against the culture of corruption in energy policy by writing the
Ohio Power Siting Board in support of the Frasier Solar
Project.
Thank you for your ongoing support and attention.
