What It’s Like to Be a Child In Gaza Right Now
“I miss my school. I miss studying. I miss all the details of my life before the war." — Maha, an 11-year-old in Gaza. Gaza's children are living on the brink of famine and continue to face dwindling access to medical care and essential supplies, a lack of safe water and sanitation, physical injuries and the trauma of losing family members and the comforts of home. In addition to delivering as much relief as possible and calling for a ceasefire, UNICEF continues to amplify the voices of children caught in conflict, sharing their stories of loss and hope.

Helping Children Caught in Conflict in Sudan
As fighting in Sudan continues and conditions worsen — and with the world's attention fixed on other crises elsewhere — UNICEF remains committed to reaching children in need. Teenagers Shaimaa, Malaz and Fiyha are three of the millions of children and adolescents who have seen their lives upended in Sudan. Each of these girls has a story to share about how UNICEF has helped them stay safe, protected and empowered during a terrible war. Their stories are a reflection of their own strength and UNICEF’s impact.
