+ Governor Gavin Newsom in California, who stockpiled abortion medication in the midst of Republican threats to it and has enacted nation-leading policies on climate change.

+ Governor Gretchen Whitmer in Michigan, who has signed major legislation to keep abortion accessible in her state. Her actions have helped reverse politically motivated restrictions on reproductive health care, kept abortion providers accessible, ensured that students can access information about their reproductive health options, and more.

+ Governor Tim Walz in Minnesota, who has made elections more fair, free, and safe ahead of this year’s crucial election thanks to the Democracy for the People Act he signed into law. This act establishes automatic voter registration, further penalizes voter intimidation, and increases absentee ballot access.

But radical Republican governors are trying to kill this progress! They’re attacking voting rights, banning abortions and even IVF, defunding public schools, threatening LGBTQ+ rights, and pandering to extremists on the far, far right. It’s scary.
