Dear Neighbor,
Serving as you and your family’s representative in Washington is the honor of my life. As Congress heads back into session, I wanted to provide you with a quick update on what I’ve been up to in Southern California these past few weeks!
Lunar New Year
Southern California is home to one of the largest and most diverse Asian-American and Pacific Islander communities in the country. As your representative in Congress, I am honored to join you all in celebrating Lunar New Year. This year I had the chance to join the City of Walnut and the City of Diamond Bar for their Lunar New Year celebrations.
Thanks again for having me and happy Year of the Dragon!
24th Annual Silver Shields Awards
Earlier this month, I had the chance to attend the 24th Annual Silver Shield Awards! This event is meant to recognize the hardworking officers, staff, and volunteers for the Whittier Police Department who go above and beyond to serve the Whitter and Santa Fe Spring communities.
I want to give a big thank you to all our law enforcement officers and volunteers who help keep our community and families safe!
Coffee with the Councilmember
I also had the chance to join councilmember Andrew Chou in Diamond Bar for a community coffee. This was a great opportunity to provide you with an update on my work in Washington and discuss the issues important to you. My team was also present to answer any questions regarding help with a federal agency. This was a great chance to hear directly from you all while supporting a local business!
 
Thank you to everyone who joined and chatted with me. I look forward to bringing your ideas back with me as I return to Washington.
