Will McConnell Step Up for Americans?
Today, U.S. Senator Mitch McConnell, announced his plans to step down as Minority Leader of the Republican conference. Eagle Forum thanks Senator McConnell for his years of service, especially his role in fighting for free speech rights against the McCain-Feingold legislation as the lead plaintiff in McConnell v. FEC, and for his invaluable assistance in shepherding the confirmation of numerous excellent judicial nominations.

In the final months of his leadership, Eagle Forum urges Senator McConnell to use his position to protect the nation from the unsustainable influx of illegal immigrants across our borders. We ask that he listen to the voices of Americans from all over the country who are victims of crime and drugs that are the result of Biden’s open border policies. We implore him to fight for the strong border control language already passed by the House of Representatives (HR 2). Ending his career by fighting to secure America’s border first will earn him the gratitude of all.
