John, it's Congresswoman Lois Frankel's team – do you have a second?
We'll get right to the point: our End of Month Fundraising Fundraising Deadline is right around the corner, and we're still $8,084 short of meeting our online goal.
This is a big deal – the Congresswoman is running a people-powered campaign to tell folks about her work to push the needle on access to reproductive care (IVF and contraception as well!), protect crucial benefits for seniors, and advocate for common-sense gun safety measures. Will you chip in today to support her run for reelection today?
John, since the Congresswoman officially launched her campaign, our team has been busy working to tell folks about the work she's been doing for our community inside and outside of the House:
1️⃣ She called out Republicans for setting their sights on life-saving benefits for seniors, like Social Security and Medicaid.
2️⃣ She worked to collect signatures in support of letting Floridians decide via vote whether the state constitution would be amended to protect abortion and contraception access. Now with Republican State Supreme Courts banning IVF, this is a critical moment to stand up against far-right extremism.
3️⃣ She's sponsored various bills in the House calling for wage equality, gun control, the expansion of Social Security and more.
We want to tell as many people as we can about all of this and more, but we're counting on grassroots support to fund our canvassing efforts and secure essential campaign materials like yard signs and mailers.
Congresswoman Lois Frankel has worked for positive change since her early days as a student protester in the 1960s. She has been a community and civic leader, state legislator, mayor and now is privileged to serve as a Member of Congress in the US House of Representatives, and refers to herself as a working grandmother.
She has always been and continues to be a loud voice and leading force to improve the lives of children and families as well as seniors and veterans. She is a fierce advocate for racial justice, human rights and women’s reproductive freedom, fights she will never abandon and urges everyone to participate in today. Lois is Co-Chair of the Democratic Women’s Caucus.
Lois is the proud mother to her son Ben who is a United States Marine war veteran, and Lolo to her grandsons. She is also an avid abstract painter who greatly appreciates the arts.
