The Coalition’s STOP THE BLEED® Instructor Licensing Program is designed for Nurses seeking to teach STOP THE BLEED® to their communities or organizations.

There is no cost for individuals to become licensed and it only takes a few minutes to complete an online application.

Many Nursing professionals are already engaged in the

STOP THE BLEED® campaign, using it to build resilience in their communities. The new program is designed to empower more Nurses to get involved by making it easier to apply for a license and to support approved instructors with all of the resources they need.

As a Doctor and Paramedic, I have played a prominent role as a pioneer of the STOP THE BLEED® campaign in Bolivia for approximately six years. My dedication has been evident not only in raising awareness about the crucial importance of immediate intervention in emergencies but also in my consistent commitment to providing Stop The Bleed training in various regions of Bolivia. During this time, I've had the opportunity to conduct workshops and training sessions in different communities, emphasizing my love and passion for teaching. I am enthusiastic about sharing my knowledge and experiences, especially in the context of bleeding control, where I have directly witnessed the positive impact of a quick and effective response. A fundamental part of my work is changing paradigms within bleeding control. I don't just limit myself to teaching techniques and providing essential information; I also aim to inspire a mindset shift in the community. I want the population not only to acquire practical
skills but also to adopt a proactive attitude towards preparedness and response in critical situations.

Training is at the heart of the STOP THE BLEED® campaign and STOP THE BLEED® Instructors are the ones that make the heart beat! The Instructor Spotlight shines a bright light on individuals engaging their communities about STOP THE BLEED®.

The Coalition’s goal is to support the growth and impact of the campaign by providing access to information and services to the growing STOP THE BLEED® community as well as financial support to the STOP THE BLEED® Project.

STOP THE BLEED® is a national campaign to encourage bystanders to become trained, equipped, and empowered to help in a bleeding emergency before professional help arrives. It is a public/private partnership led by the Department of Defense and many other stakeholders, including the Stop the Bleed Coalition.
