Hi, this is Mohona, campaign manager for Sharice Davids. I’m going to get right to the point: our finance team just crunched the numbers and we’re $2,127 behind on our February fundraising goal. Can you help us close the gap before our End-of-Month deadline hits tomorrow night?

Listen, I know you don’t like receiving these kinds of emails any more than I enjoy writing them. But the fact is, our fundraising goals are not arbitrary. We set them to ensure we have the resources to persuade and turn out voters across KS-03, and hitting our benchmarks really does matter.

The outcome of Sharice’s race is looking like a coin-flip, and national Republicans are already spending big to try to flip this seat. In fact, we expect negative ads against her to hit the TV airwaves any day now.

There is so much on the line in this race. Yes, control of the House, but along with it, the fight for abortion rights, the health of our democracy, and the future of Social Security and Medicare.
