My parents, like so many in our communities across the country, embody the American Dream.

My parents immigrated to the U.S. in search of more opportunity and a better life. They worked hard, and thanks to their sacrifice, I was able to attend college, become the first in my family to graduate medical school, and serve my community as a pediatrician.

In my work as a pediatrician, I saw many hard-working families in my community struggle under the weight of rising prices and lower wages. I knew that I needed to do more to help them.

We must keep the American Dream alive, John — That’s why I ran for Colorado’s state legislature, and ultimately, Congress.

Thanks to grassroots supporters like you, I’m able to fight for our priorities in Congress. I’m a strong advocate for lower prescription drug costs and paid family leave. I was proud to pass my first bill, which addresses the next wave of the drug crisis head-on, with bipartisan support.
