Hello, John
Now
that we're a few days into our new routines, many are looking for a breath
of fresh air. For some, that's a literal breath of fresh air on a walk—to
get out of the house, to enjoy some social or unsocial time—and for some
it's the soothing words of our leaders that will
calm us.
Even
while we adapt to these changes, It's more important than ever that
we spread the word about building strong places, and to do so we
need to meet people where they are—right now, for many, that's at
home.
For the next four Tuesdays at least, we are hosting a totally free webinar series based on some of our most popular presentations. You can read more about them and register to attend below:
3/31
• Joe Minicozzi and the Economics of
Development 101 4/7 •
Confessions of a Traffic Engineer 4/14 • The Economics of Development 202 4/21 • Making Strong Neighborhood Investments
Each Thursday at 1 p.m. (EST), we'll also host a free Ask Me Anything session with Strong Towns Founder and President Chuck Marohn and other key team members. If you're struggling in this time of transition, we want to help you think through things. These web broadcasts are free to everyone—regardless of whether you're a sustaining member.
New resources and topics are also being shared on our Strong Towns Community Site so that people all across the country can stay connected in their search for ways to make their places as great as they can be.
Before we sign off, we want to recognize our newest supporting members. Abby Johnson, Karen Wilcox, Dannielle Larkin, Anthony Kalvans, Boyd McPeek, and Angus Vaughan joined the movement this week. We are so thankful for your support and your love of your place.
As we head into the weekend, get some rest. Find a quiet moment, recharge, and prepare for another week of careful practices that will get as many of us as possible safely through this crisis.
Stay well, —Lauren at Strong Towns
