[link removed] [[link removed]] John, it’s been a busy week for the anti-democracy crowd.

Along with a January 6th pinball game (showing how seriously they take the insurrection), election deniers featured prominently at the Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC) last week.

“Welcome to the end of democracy. We are here to overthrow it completely. We didn’t get all the way there on January 6th, but we will endeavor to get rid of it,” one conservative activist said during a speech to a crowd that roared their approval.

Republican Representative Elise Stefanik claimed, “Democrats attack our democracy...We saw it with how they unconstitutionally rigged the 2020 election.”

But CPAC wasn’t the only place we heard election denial and misinformation, and Rep. Stefanik wasn’t the only one to give her election denier version of history.

At a conference for the National Association of Secretaries of State, West Virginia Secretary of State Mac Warner, who is running for governor, embraced conspiracy theories and election denial, saying, “In October of 2020, the CIA lied to the American people on purpose and it was covered up by the FBI.” He continued, “We have our own federal agencies lying to the American people.”

John, it's unacceptable for a top election official or a sitting member of Congress to embrace and spread election lies and conspiracy theories. They should be the ones combating misinformation and improving trust in our elections, not undermining it.
