Hi John,
In my 18 years as a digital strategist I've seen so many nonprofits and unions struggle to create powerful graphics. I've been there myself! How many of us were trained in graphic design before being thrown into the deep end and told to "make it go viral"?
Even beyond the question of aesthetics, the visuals you create should connect to your organization's strategy. That’s why I’m so excited to partner with design strategist and visual artist Ange Tran on Strategic Visual Design: Skills for Communications and Organizing.
This is an online seminar I'm hosting as Netroots' educational partner, New Media Mentors. Our goal is to teach organizers, digital strategists and communications staff working at nonprofit organizations and unions how to think like designers.
The seminar takes place across three sessions: March 21, March 28 and April 4 from 1-2:30pm ET. Our three-part, interactive online seminar combines instruction and workshopping with your peers.
We're covering everything from getting powerful photos at your events to creating social media graphics that inspire interaction. No matter what you need to make, this training will give you the perspective you need to do it more strategically. We will help you get past the creative and logistical blocks you face, so you can make visuals as compelling as your organization's mission.
Read about our course and take your skills to the next level! Or, if you want to chat before registering: come to our Zoom Open House on March 7 at 4pm ET.
