Partners,
CMS recently announced their proposed rate notice for Medicare Advantage plans for the CY2025 plan year. This is a critical opportunity for consumer advocates to weigh in and urge the administration to take additional steps to reining in the corporate abuses in Medicare Advantage.
The deadline to submit comments is this Friday, March 1st at 6:00PM EST.
Through this comment, we are particularly focused on finally reining in systematic upcoding in MA that is driving hundreds of billions of dollars in overpayments, that hurts Medicare patients and taxpayers alike, and undermines the extent that MA plans are held accountable to delivering high quality and equitable care.
We've prepared a draft template comment that you and your organization can sign and customize according to your organizational needs and priorities. We encourage you to either use these template comments or your own comments, to ensure that the MA program is finally held accountable and to guarantee that our nation’s seniors and all those who rely on Medicare for their health care have access to high-quality care and coverage options.
You can find the editable template here if you wish you adjust any of our language and submit it personally to CMS via regulations.gov.
To submit your comment, follow the link above, enter a brief summary of your comment, and attach the word document with the comment. There is a submit button at the bottom of the page.
Please reach out to me with any questions, and thank you so much for your help on this important issue.
Thank you,
