Jack, I know that a lot of my emails are filled with doom and gloom about the future of Daily Kos. The fact is that Daily Kos has been financially struggling as our advertising revenue has steeply declined.
There is no easy way to say this: We're coming up short this month. We need to raise another $23,296 in the next 48 hours.
Will Daily Kos shut down tomorrow if we don't reach our February goal? No. The reality, though, is that we will have to make deep budget cuts that will affect the quality of our content and the effectiveness of our actions—this certainly isn't good as we are preparing for the 2024 elections.
