I am who I am because of my family.

My parents taught me to do the right thing -- especially when it’s the hard choice.

My grandkids serve as a reminder that the future is bright and we have an obligation to make things better for the next generation.

Unfortunately, Republicans have put Big Money and special interests before doing the right thing for far too long. 

And this is being reckless with our children’s future.

I need your help to fight for what is right in Congress. But asking for money is my least favorite part of the job -- and I need to raise $3,677 by tomorrow to hit our campaign’s aggressive fundraising projections.

So I’m humbly asking: Will you chip in $5 right now to help me keep up the fight for our values and for our children’s futures?

As a former teacher, I am horrified by the GOP slashing education funding while giving the 1% massive tax cuts.

As a grandmother, I’m horrified by our inaction on Climate Change and what that means for future generations.

As a Congresswoman representing a border district, I’m horrified by Trump’s wasteful and ignorant border wall proposal.

And I know that you are horrified too.

The time for action in NOW, I need you to chip in even just a couple of dollars to hit our $3,677 goal >>

There is no other way to say it: Without money I will be defeated.

The GOP is waiting to see us crack. They have an endless supply of big money behind them and think that our enthusiasm will wane.

But we know what is at stake. We know what, and who, we are fighting for.

A small donation, less than what you spend on a cup of coffee, tells the GOP that we aren’t going anywhere.

So I’m going to ask one last time: Will you donate $5 to help me fight for the future our children deserve?
