The University of Connecticut (UConn) is my alma mater, so what I’m about to
tell you feels extremely personal…

* Born To Die: She’ll be bred specifically for this experiment by an infamous kitten mill
known for abusing animals. They'll ship her off to UConn’s white coats once she turns 10 months old.
* Brain Stabbed with Needles: Once she arrives, the experimenters will crack open her tiny skull and
surgically implant needle electrodes into her brain. She’ll develop deadly infections from the equipment.
* Excruciating Noise: If she survives the surgery, they'll lock her in a “sound booth” and blast
her with deafeningly loud noises. They’ll watch as she grimaces in pain.
* No Survivors: After being tortured for up to two years, they’ll kill her – even though she could have been adopted out to a loving home.
* Your Tax Bill: You’ve already paid $1.9 MILLION since 2015 for this horrific abuse.

Taxpayer, it was when I was a student attending UConn
that I launched my first campaign against taxpayer-funded animal testing.
One day, as I walked past the science building on campus, I heard the sounds of
monkeys screeching coming from the lab.
After doing some investigating, I learned that the university's white coats were
conducting a horrible experiment on four primates.
For months, I organized student protests, alerted the media, and learned
everything I could about the rules and loopholes associated with government
animal testing grants.
And on January 12, 2007, this headline was published:
“UConn primate lab halts research project”

It was right then that I knew I would dedicate the rest of my career to ending
government animal abuse.
Today, almost 20 years later, I’m bringing the fight back to UConn – this time, to stop its taxpayer-funded kitten abuse.
