Friend,

Celebrate with us! Tomorrow marks the first anniversary of Independent Women’s Forum’s Center for Energy and Conservation (CEC). 🎉

In the last 365 days, whether in the halls of Congress or in national media, the CEC has left its mark.

CEC policy experts have testified before Congress on the dangers of Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG), appeared on national media outlets like Fox News, been printed in outlets like Wall Street Journal to discuss trending energy and climate topics, and established a National Energy Appreciation Day commemorated every October 4th to recognize the importance of our domestic energy industry to modern life and celebrate the men and women who make it work.

Our Center for Energy and Conservation is actively reshaping the conversation about American energy and conservation leaning on these three core objectives:
  • Educate the public about the benefits of modern energy, including thriving economies and healthy communities.
  • Level-set fear-based rhetoric surrounding the climate and cultivating meaningful policies that lead to cleaner air, cleaner water, and a lower-emissions future.
  • Connect the role our modern energy industry has played in successful environmental outcomes and a better, more prosperous way of life.

We might be young, but we’re already having an impact shaping public policy.

Just in the last month, the CEC:
  • Helped to defeat a flawed Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) rule to list Natural Asset Companies on the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE) that would have infringed on both property rights and public lands access.
  • Partnered with our sister organization, Independent Women’s Network, to launch an action center rejecting the Biden administration’s War on Household Appliances—making everything in your house cost more to run, repair, or replace.
  • Created helpful guides breaking down complex subjects like ESG to equip you with resources.
If you’re concerned about Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) export pauses, forceful electric vehicle mandates, or fishing and hunting restrictions on public land, our energy and environmental experts have got you covered at our CEC policy center.
Follow Our Work
When I took the helm of IWF’s Center for Energy and Conservation in November, I promised to supercharge our efforts and expand our reach. But my team and I can’t do it without your help, Friend.

We greatly appreciate your support of our efforts. Help us kick off CEC’s second year:
  • Stay in the loop, subscribe to our monthly newsletter Clearing the Air

  • Invest in our work to advocate for women in agriculture, conservation, energy, and financial services against top-down net-zero and ESG policies

Sincerely,

Gabriella Hoffman
