Friend,

This week, Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) devastated a region of central Mississippi when they arrested 680 immigrant workers at several poultry plants in the largest single-state immigration raid in U.S. history.

Many of these parents had children, who were left stranded at schools and daycares. Some wandered around on the street until they were picked up by strangers and taken to a local gym. Others went home only to find their parents not there.

Make no mistake. Cruelty and fear were the main goals of this operation.

These families need our help. Local organizations in Mississippi are pulling together to help families affected by the raid, by accepting donations, providing shelter, and offering legal services.

Your donation will go directly to supporting the work of the ACLU of Mississippi, El Pueblo Mississippi, MacArthur Justice Center, the Mississippi Center for Justice, the Mississippi Immigrants Rights Alliance, and the Southeast Immigrant Rights Network.

The immigrants picked up in this raid were hard workers trying to provide a better future for themselves and their families. Some of them have been here for more than a decade. They are church members, neighbors, and community members.

Some of the workers picked up in the raid have been released by ICE, but that doesn't mean they're out of danger. All of the workers arrested this week potentially face deportation and permanent separation from their families.

Please donate TODAY. [link removed]. Every bit helps to provide comfort for these families.

Thank you,

Juana----
