[ [link removed] ]TAMMY BALDWIN FOR SENATE

Hi, it’s
Lexie, Tammy Baldwin’s Finance Director.

Last week, California bank owner Eric Hovde launched his campaign for
Wisconsin’s Senate seat. That came as no surprise — Mitch McConnell
handpicked Hovde to run against Tammy and national Republicans have been
backing him for months.

What did take us by surprise is Hovde spending at least $1 million to go
up on the airwaves today, just one week after launching his campaign. And
this is only just the beginning — with a self-funded war chest of $20
million, Hovde has the ability to flood our state with ads and attacks
from now through Election Day.

We need to fight back and set the record straight so Wisconsin voters know
who Eric Hovde is and the extreme views he stands for.

But the truth is, this is much earlier in the cycle than we had planned to
launch our own ads and we simply don’t have it in the budget right now.

So in order to keep up with Hovde and his virtually unlimited campaign war
chest, I’m coming to you today:
