Here is your weekly travel update Nottingham this week 27 March - 3 April
Coronavirus
Current advice from Public Health England is to stay at home to save lives and only go out when absolutely necessary for food, medicine, work or exercise.
Please avoid non-essential use of public transport, however if you do have to travel please ensure you continue to follow social distancing advice; avoid standing near other passengers and use hand sanitiser/wash your hands after touching surfaces.
Please do not travel if you are feeling unwell or are showing any symptoms of Coronavirus, including a new continuous cough or high temperature. For more information and advice on symptoms of the virus, please visit gov.uk/coronavirus
Many of our travel operators and partners are operating a reduced service and are making every effort to keep you safe if you must travel. We will try to keep you updated of any service changes as a result via our website and social media, but please check with your individual operators before you travel. Changes include:
🏥 The Medilink continues to run regularly to help key workers get to work. However other CT4N services are currently operating as follows:
L1 – Suspended, 22 and 23 provide alternative links in Silverdale
L5 – Suspended. L2 provides links from Middleton Boulevard
L12 – Suspended, low levels of use at this time
L2 – Operating normally, includes some peak hour journeys for workers
L10 – Suspended
L11 – Suspended
L4 – Operating Normally
L9 – Operating Normally
L14 – Operating Normally
W1 – Operating Normally
🚍 All bus operators in the city are now running on a reduced service and the A1 and A2 services which serve school routes and operated by NCT have been suspended.
🚊 Nottingham’s tram network has adjusted its timetable to reflect current levels of demand.
🚆 All train operators are running on reduced timetables and all enclosed waiting rooms at stations have closed until further notice.
The Northern service from Nottingham - Leeds has also been suspended.
Please check with your local operator before travelling for the latest information
🚴 Nottingham has lots of local cycle paths and cycling is a great form of exercise and is also good for your mental health. But please – follow guidelines on physical distancing and keep at least 2 metres apart and not in groups. Only ride on routes you know well, that are close to home and within your ability level
Upcoming Roadworks
Monday 3 February - April 2020: Greyfriar Gate, Broadmarsh Essential works to be carried out by various contractors in preparation for Broadmarsh and the Broadmarsh carpark. More info here...
Tuesday 24 March - Monday 13 April: Waterway Street West Lane closure adjacent to Plumb Centre for gas main diversion.
Friday 27 March - Saturday 28 March: Woodborough Road Multi way lights in operation at the junction with Mapperly Hall Drive and Malvern Road while BT undertake maintenance works.
Friday 27 March - Saturday 28 March: Berridge Road Three way lights in operation outside no.118 for a new water connection.
Clifton Bridge A52
Clifton Bridge continues to operate under one eastbound Lane. Highways England are continuing investigations.
