The company John Deere is known for its green tractors - and now they’re taking a major step forward to become even greener by investing in clean energy!
By 2026, John Deere plans to produce and sell electric tractors and construction equipment. This goes to show that even red-state and rural agricultural brands are recognizing that transitioning to clean energy is essential for a sustainable future.
As part of their investment into electric tractors, John Deere is building a new factory in Kernersville, North Carolina to manufacture electric batteries and chargers. This new factory has the potential to contribute over $3.3 million to the region.
John Deere's commitment to clean energy and sustainability sets an important precedent for other industries, demonstrating that transitioning to electric vehicles should be a top priority.
