London Liberal Democrats

Dear John

Thank you to everyone who joined the Zoom call last week. Dozens of you made it and it was really great to hear such enthusiasm for helping our communities during Coronavirus.

On the back of that discussion and warm response we are now proceeding to roll out our “Calling with Kindness” initiative.

As a political party, we have a large database of phone numbers. We think we can add value to what others are doing to support the vulnerable at this time by calling particular groups of people, like the elderly. Then we can either identify who needs help and pass them onto relevant support or simply help by having a chat.

This past week we have been piloting the calls with a group of volunteers and we will be ready to go live across London from next week.

So, do you want to take part in “Calling With Kindness?”

The signup form above will ask you if you have made calls before or if you need further training. Once we’re ready to start making calls, everybody will receive a full briefing paper and script too.

Our Calling with Kindness initiative is a way that people can show kindness using the specific resources we have available as a party. I would love you to be part of this too.

Kind regards

Siobhan Benita

Liberal Democrat Candidate for Mayor of London
