friend, please help cancel the debt

Hi friend,

Our campaign to cancel debts for the poorest countries during this global pandemic is gaining traction, thanks to thousands of people who have signed our petition, add your voice now ([link removed]) .

With coverage in the Guardian ([link removed]) and the Financial Times ([link removed]) , our warnings of a new debt crisis are being heeded. Developing countries are speaking out: earlier this week African Finance Ministers called for a pause in debt payments.

But we still need more voices behind our call, to make it heard at the highest levels of government and to make sure the Chancellor acts at the upcoming IMF meetings.
ACT NOW ([link removed])
Can you help amplify the voices of people calling for debt cancellation in the global south? Not only are they getting less money for products like copper and coffee, the cost of borrowing has shot up. A double whammy for developing countries.
During these tumultuous times, we need to keep up pressure to ensure that we are making an impact across the globe where it’s needed.

From the whole team at Jubilee Debt Campaign we hope you and your loved ones are coping well in this crisis.

In solidarity,

Sarah, Tim, Matt, Eva, Jenny and Abi
