We have some concerning news. Recent estimates put 2017 corporate lobbying
at a total of $535 million — but a new report by The Intercept shows that
the real total might be more than double that number:

Using loopholes and different reporting mechanisms, business groups were
able to obscure another $675 million in lobbying intended to undermine
your voice in Washington. That’s not how our democracy is meant to
operate.

There’s only one way to end this sabotage: end Citizens United, and ensure
that every member of Congress refuses 100% of corporate PAC donations.
That’s what we do, and that’s what every single other member can do too.

in corporate PAC donations on the table every year, and we’re proud of it.

But many of our opponents don’t. They’re more than willing to take
donations from anti-Medicare for all, pro-Big Pharma, and pro-endless war
organizations, and as long as they do, passing our progressive agenda is
going to be that much harder.
