Budget hearings are underway in Harrisburg to determine the size and substance of the 2024–25 state budget.
Gov. Josh Shapiro has called for a large increase in spending on new initiatives, paving the way for tax hikes in the future.
But what Shapiro neglected to mention in his budget address was something Pennsylvania badly needs: relief for business owners.
We know government red tape hurts Pennsylvania businesses, preventing our state from reaching its economic potential. Moreover, Pennsylvania’s unwelcoming business climate results in many business owners moving out of state.
Shapiro pledged during his campaign to cut the commonwealth’s unnecessary, excessive red tape. But he hasn’t taken concrete action on this key issue.
That’s why we’re leading the charge on regulation reform in Harrisburg. But we need firepower in the form of testimonials from Pennsylvanians like you. Lawmakers need to hear how red tape and strict government regulations hamstring our businesses—especially as they start writing the new state budget.
Tell us how government red tape has hurt your business or community.

We can’t wait any longer to reduce government regulations in Pennsylvania. Lawmakers in Harrisburg must hear how red tape holds back your business or community.
Do you have a testimonial or story on how regulations hold your business back? Please tell us here.
