But this is too important to ignore

John, it's Emily Busch, and I wanted to send a quick apology ahead of time for the increase in messages you'll see from me and my team in the next few days.

See, my End of Month Fundraising Deadline right is just around the corner, and we're still $6,402 short of meeting our online fundraising goal.

John, this is a big deal. I'm running a people-powered campaign to unseat far right extremist John James. I want to tell you more, but first: will you support my campaign by helping me and my team reach our goal before the deadline?

My reason for running for Congress is simple: I want to be a strong voice for common-sense gun safety measures like a ban on military-style weapons and universal background checks.

The sad reality is that Republicans in Congress, like MI-10's own John James, aren't doing enough to protect our communities from the gun violence epidemic happening across the country.

I’m running for Congress because my son ran for his life from a school shooter, and as a mom and member of the community, I'd really appreciate your help in fighting for a better future for my kids and yours.

My team and I rely on grassroots donations to connect with voters, share my other priorities, and budget for essential campaign materials like yard signs and canvassing supplies for our volunteers.

Meeting our fundraising goals at the end of the month helps us continue to do these things, John. Your support is so crucial to our success – will you consider chipping in any amount before our upcoming deadline?

Thank you,
Emily Busch

Emily Busch

Emily first learned the importance of community and helping others from her mom, a nurse, and dad, a manufacturing representative, while growing up in a tight-knit, middle-class Midwestern family.

The proud product of public schools, Emily worked hard in and out of the classroom, balancing her studies and interest in performing arts with an after-school job as a cashier at Ace Hardware. She went on to earn her B.A. in Biology from Indiana University and Masters from Michigan State University.

Now, Emily is running for Congress in Michigan’s 10th District to keep our kids safe, protect our rights, and lower costs for Michigan families.

Emily chose to move to Oakland County two decades ago because it was the place she wanted to raise her family – a place with friendly neighbors, good schools, and safe neighborhoods.

She and her husband, a retired firefighter and Marine, enjoy camping, fishing, and visiting national parks in their free time.
